The girls once asked me, I've such high standard and a good tasteful eye for guys, but how did I end up with the guys I've dated (James not included). I was surprised that I couldn't answer that straight away. (Yeah, you can say that all of them were super dumbfound at my exs.)

Actually, the reason is simple. It's not the look that attracts me first. It's the deep low voice. I tend to go for men with deep low voice, and a gentleman personality, from the first impression. (And sadly, I tend to be attracted to those with bad boys or rugged image/attitude...) Note* Lesson learned... First impression is not accurate...

So far, James' got the closest fit to my expectations and what others would expect in my choice of man. He got a manly voice too! (Quick, ask him to sing Rob Stewart's Have I tell You Lately that I Love You...)

And his charming cute look a bonus :) (Duh! That's why I'm now married to him.)

I also realise why I'm so infatuated with rich deep low voices. I grew up listening to big bands/swings/old jazz with rich deep voices. Prehaps that's where my ideas of romancing derive from.

All these realisations came when I was listening to Ville Valo & Natalia Avelon's Summer Wine in the office and at home, few days after the girls asked me that question. And James protested: "Why are you listening to the same song over and over again, day in day out?". Note* My dad once threw the cassette tape away secretly, becoz I was playing the same darn song, every night to sleep for quite a long time!

By the way, did anyone notice that Ville Valo could be mistaken for Johnny Depp in this MTV? I say, he's pretty sexy too with that image of his...
