My gentle giant has been bullied for the past months. The most recent injury, resulted in some lesion (unexplainable to how he got that) on his hip bone... which worries us as we thought he might have some bone fracture or a dislocation!
Thank god it was controllable under oral medication... or so we were told...
Yesterday, I brought Leftie in again as his little lump suddenly grew bigger, even after 2 days of medication... Dr says it seems Leftie's body cant cope with the infection, causing him very lethargic, feverish and a negative reaction to the anti-biotics Dr injected him. So they have no choice but to put him on sedation (half sedation coz of his age) and drain the pus out or something like that. Apparently, there's more to the case... pus were all drained. But the lump will take few days to a week to disappear. And for that, they were unable to stitch his wounds... OUCH!
So, I spent the rest of the day in the kitchen (he's isolated for his own safety at the moment) with him as he cries in his meows and refuse to rest or sleep. He insists on moving around... but he's still "ma-bo". As he wobbles around, his wounds wouldn't stop bleeding... My heart aches so much to see my little sweet boy in such agony!!
It took a great deal to coax Leftie to drink water. I'm so relived when the boy started munching on his kibbles, and try to rest. Then I left the kitchen to rest on the sofa, only to go back to him when he started to cry again... Poor boy... sigh

So the next time you see him, dun go laugh at him for such a huge "botah" patch... the boy's been through a very painful ordeal already!
